Board Books
In the pediatrics research department at MD Anderson, we occasionally have toy drives, etc. for the Children’s Cancer Hospital. I was very excited to find board books on the Christmas wish list for the Child Life Program.

I started by finding a few that went with the Christmas/winter season:
- The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
- The Mitten by Jan Brett
- Dream Snow by Eric Carle
- Who is Coming to Our House? by Joseph Slate
Amazon quickly figured out what I was doing and started offering helpful recommendations. Before I knew it, I had twelve items in my cart. Although I could have kept going, I decided to stick with a nice round dozen and resolved to save the left out favorites for next Christmas (please don’t hold it against me, Corduroy).
I highly recommend that every college student finds an organization he/she can donate board books to during exams if only because reading these childhood treasures makes for the ultimate de-stressing study break.
